There's a reason people keep wanting to use the word Mom in marketing: We control the spending.
People talk about it like it's new news, but Moms have always been the target. Soap Operas were created by a soap company to sell soap to bored housewives. In between all the bubble blowing, the moms were treated to a little indulgent drama. Marketing was controlled by men back then. Back in the days when "men were men" (read: a-holes) and women wore pearls and heels to vaccuum the house.
We've come a long way, baby!
Now, women not only control the spending, we are creating the messages and the vehicles with which to generate the much needed revenue for other women in business.
