Time to dust off the barbecue and get ready for the ultimate summer celebration!
For many of Americans, Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of the summer season. Whether you're remembering loved ones, attending a local parade, or entertaining friends, Memorial Day Weekend is the perfect time to celebrate with a day of grilling. But hosting a gathering with friends and family can cause unneeded stress. Just thinking about all the preparation can make a person break out into a sweat.
No need to stress!!!
I recently partnered with one of my absolute favorite TV personalities (and San Diego resident), Sam the Cooking Guy and Finlandia Cheese to share with you some fail-proof steps you can use to prep for the three-day weekend festivities:
STEP 1: PLAN AHEAD
- This one's a no-brainer, but if you're like me, you're busy with life. Don't let time get away from you. Set some time aside to plan your recipes in advance and prepare a shopping list.
STEP 2: USE HIGH-QUALITY INGREDIENTS
- You wouldn't put low-grade tires on a Ferrari, would you? So why would you put margarine on steak? Choose only the best-quality ingredients.
STEP 3: SHOP STRATEGICALLY
- Putting off your Memorial Day shopping until Sunday evening? You and tens of thousands of other Americans! The earlier you start, the thinner the crowds.
If you're still in need of some culinary inspiration, head over to the Finlandia website for some grill-friendly recipes.
For last minute tips and meal ideas, Sam the Cooking Guy will be cooking and chatting with shoppers from 11am to 2pm at Costco in Temecula on Sunday, May 29 in Temecula (26610 Ynez Road).
I'd love to hear more about how you're prepping for the Memorial Day Weekend festivities! Share in in the comments below.
