In my head, I call the North Eats Food Festival: "North County Has Good Food, Too!" The North County food scene is well known and appreciated by those of us living North of the Merge, but still not well known enough to our friends further south.
This Sunday, San Diegans will have the opportunity to experience the North County food scene from over 30 participating chefs, restaurants and food brands based north of the 56-freeway.
Hosted by Baker & Olive, the 3rd annual North Eats food festival, the ultimate North County tasting event, will take place on Sunday, June 26th from 4-7 pm at Cape Rey Carlsbad. Center stage at this festival will be a live cooking competition featuring 94.9 DJs Cantore & Woods and live music by local North County artists Barnwell Shift.
Participating vendors include, but not limited to:
- Blue Ribbon Pizza
- Craftsman New American Tavern
- Wrench & Rodent Seabasstropub
- Panca Peruvian
- Petite Madeline Bakery
- Living Tea Brewing Company
- Bull Taco
The event is open to all ages. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased at bakerandolive.com. $5 of every ticket purchased will be donated to Feeding America, San Diego, the county's leading hunger-relief organization.
So don't be afraid to venture outside of your comfort zone. Come up to Carlsbad and taste what North County has to offer!
