3 1/2 - 4 lbs First Street Lean Ground Beef* 2 tablespoons ground cumin 1 teaspoon ground turmeric 2 teaspoons sweet paprika 1 tablespoon ground coriander 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 tablespoon curry powder 1 small onion, grated 3 garlic cloves, chopped Fresh cilantro Zest and juice of 1 lemon Salt & Pepper (to taste) Extra Virgin Olive Oil (to drizzle) Roma Tomatoes*, sliced First Street Jack Cheese* (grated to sprinkle)
Combine beef, cumin, turmeric, paprika, coriander, cayenne, curry powder, onions, garlic, cilantro (or parsley), lemon zest, salt & pepper in a bowl and mix well, making sure the spices get spread all over. Form the beef into small 3" round patties, about 3/4" thick. Drizzle with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and grill for 5 minutes on each side (or until cooked through).
When patties are almost done, top with sliced roma tomatoes, sprinkle jack cheese on top of tomatoes, and allow to melt while still on the grill. Spread Thousand Island dressing on your slider buns for an extra tangy finish. Serve with a side of pasta tossed in oil & vinegar or Italian dressing.
